How many men would be willing to retrain as nurses?
Men lost more jobs than women, because Male heavy industry were severely affected (manufactering, finance, construction). There is a strong demand for nurses and is well paid-field. Nursing and education are areas we have always been more women choose to be teachers and nurses, this fields are the reason why most women's employment was not affected. If the government offers scholarships to all licensed small construction worker and factory worker with high school graduation to start medical school, as it take?
Any person with a healthy smattering Reason would be more than willing to consider the nursing profession. Is not considered women's work, people educated – A well-educated people, I mean "college education", but reasonably intelligent and well informed about the reality.
